As pictured on the cover of History of Smith & Wesson by Roy G Jinks:

As sold by Amoskeag Auction, Lot 120, November 2021:

Auction #132 - Two-Day Sale, November 20th & 21st

And acquired in this auction by The Metropolitan Museum of Art:

I tried to get this one but was outbid somewhat quickly. While it surely would have been a pleasure to own, I'm sure very few would get to enjoy it. If anyone lives near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or visits there, is it on public display?

A bold effort on your part Ian.
It is a masterpiece.
The engraving on the right grip is suggestive of the rather sparse engraving of the turn of the century Young work

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has some extremely nice and rare S&W's. The late Dr. Jerry Klas donated a number of Tiffany guns to the MET, they were on display the last time I was there.
