UN after our Gun Rights

I just got a phone poll from the NRA about this. I listened to panty-waist LaPierre's message and when asked if I was concered about it I answered no. I also explained that: 1. Treaties cannot abrogate the civil rights of American citizens; 2. Treaties require a 2/3ds majoritiy of the senate to be ratified and I don't think the President could find sixty-six senators; 3. My rights don't come from the constitution, they are mine because I was born a human being. The constitution only provides me with redress when the government tries to violate them.

An anti-American organization out to violate the rights of soverign US citizens? Scary, but not a stunner. After all our country can't be conqured until our US Consituitonal rights are neutered. Americans buy and use more ammunition than most standing armies around the world. So yeah, it makes sense to use subversive tactics in order to gain control of our country. Dosen't mean we have to allow it.

Pressure your Senator and Congressman through civil correspondence to stand against ANY foreign powers having ANY say so on our rights as Americans in our country.

This seems pertinent to this topic so I'll add it in hopes of contributing as opposed to hijacking this thread. I just got off the phone with a representative with the NRA who advised that the United Nations was moving forward with the plan to help promote abolishing our Second Amendment Rights. I know that this has been rumored for quite some time so I'm asking those who seem to know if this is something that will soon be considered? Yes, I've also seen the replies by those who seem confident that it will not happen but my confidence in common sense has been sorely shaken by decisions made during the last couple years. Two things came to mind, one: that the NRA was doing a recruiting call for more members or two: there is some truth in the message. They were not aware of my current NRA Membership so they are targeting all who have a telephones it appears. Can someone add the truth please?

Dang,....and here I thought all those helpful people at the UN
were on Our side!
Although, I have noticed some pretty rank tin-pot dictators being exalted over the years by the UN.

I suggest the NRA is using this issue to increase their finances. They called me recently and I told them this and asked they not call me again. So far they haven't.

The NRA uses every means possible to increase it's revenue.
What's your point? Does that make it any less of a threat?

I am asking the question as to whether this is NRA Hype or a valid threat to my and your Second Amendment Rights, nothing more or less. Please do not read something in it that I did not write?

Yes, it is a valid threat to our Constitutional rights; so is Bloomburg and his misguided mayors. The difference between this threat and a Bloomberg type threat is this one is from the 'outside.' Yeah, our Hillary is currently in there and has so far demonstrated some agreement or willingness to consider the resolution. But it won't happen without 2/3 majority vote from the Senate, which at this time is unlikely.

However, our vigilance should not wane...

I keep telling folks the same thing......the UN is of NO concern of mine at all....the most they can do is keep me from importing cheap commie made ammo....but the UN has as much authority over me as the Mississippi League of Women Voters

It's hype used to solicit funds and not a valid threat. The idea of the US allowing the UN to do something like this is ludicrous.
