Unexpected 22LR Score at Walmart This AM

Went out this am to get some gas for mowers, go to recycle bins, usual Saturday morning stuff. Needed a case of bottled water and a few grocery items and as usual walked through sporting goods expecting disappointment.

There on the self (behind the locked glass) were two boxes of Federal Auto Match 22lr (325 count) for $17.00 each. While waiting for the clerk to show up another fellow came up to check on ammo also. Limit of one box per customer so we each walked away happy.

I bought the same ammo for the same price at Wal Mart lssst month. No limit signs posted, but I only bought three boxes because I prefer coated or plated bullets. Otherwise I would have cleaned them out.

Same here with the plated 22 bullets but buy it when you see it during the shortage. I am always looking for some cheap .22 ammo to give to a friend's teenage boys who live out in the country and like to plink with their rifles.

Saw a few of those today $69.00 a box. Lets see, I think I have 20 or so on the shelf.

A couple of months ago I walked into one in Gainesville Florida and they had 22 shorts no limit for regular price. I bought 4 or 5 boxes don't remember now and left the rest as I have enough and don't need it as much as some others do. Don't go there often but the few other times I have there has been nothing.

The local WMT often has boxes of various shotgun shells. But I haven't seen any other ammo there lately, could be they get some once in a while but it flies right off the shelves.!
