Good morning all !!!!
I found this site looking for info on a Smith revolver I have.
It appears to be like a service revolver, VG condition, no model number stamped on it. The serial number begins C 332xxx. That number is also on the back edge of the cylinder, and stamped on the frame near where the cylinder attaches is N 82512. Right side of barrel says 38 S&W SPECIAL CTG.

Your gun is a .38 Military & Police. There's no model number because model numbers didn't exist until around 1958. Your gun was made just prior to that. It's often referred to as a 'pre-Model 10' because that is what the .38 M&P evolved into. BTW, the N number is a meaningless assembly number.

C 332xxx would probably have shipped late 1955-early 1956. Not too long before these revolvers became the Model 10 in 1957. It will handle any .38 Special load you wish to use, but there is very little reason to shoot anything other than standard velocity .38 Special lead bullet loadings in it.
