Up date Trepassing

I have had a thread running on my problems with neighbors trepassing , stealing , and breaking windows. Rural area. I acutally caught them when outside alarm went off friday night. On back side of property when alarm went off I was outside and lighting that zone up within 15 to 20 seconds of it going off. Saw him running off into woods. Called county Sherrif office on 911 .This happened around 10:30 pm.They got here with in 10 minutes. There are very well aware of these neighbors. My. Issue is they still will not trepass this scum off my property

Around here the sheriffs are elected.Easy way to fix that problem.

Maybe a shotgun with rocksalt would help mitigate the other issue.

Go see the Sheriff. Keep yourself in check. No shouting no gestures, no foul language. Like Joe Friday, just the facts. OPEN your conversation with a handshake and " I need your help". This goes a long way in the South. Give him all the info you have and Politely, tell him you can't get any help from the deputies. The Sheriff didn't get to be Sheriff by NOT helping people. Go to the top, stop fooling with his helpers.

Wouldn't hurt to invest in a couple trail cameras.Hard evidence goes further than just ones word.

Everything Billy says is correct and is the proper action to take.

The trespassers need a personal visit from the sheriff. They need to be told and shown the facts of life.

Also, make sure your property is visibly posted at intervals along your property line. It wouldn't hurt to document this with a few photographs that clearly show the signs' locations, along with time and date.

Yes I have always used the professional and kind language. In fact being it is s rural county. Just to say thanks I make a point to drop off a couple dozen cookies from local bakery every month just to say thanks. I am going to go see the sheriff in person very soon. In fact he is a newley elect Sherrif and I am told lives about a mile from us. From November threw Christmas wife loads um up with good stuff to eat.lol

Find out what your state law requires to make uninvited presence a trespass (crime) and do it. Send notice by certified mail, fence, signs, whatever. Here is WA either fence or posting is enough, as is personal notice.

The shotgun with rock salt idea is a terrible one in oh so many ways. Don't do that. Period.

I have been following your threads on this dilemma. I have no sage advice to offer but I can pray for an end to this misery as I truly feel bad for you.

Thanks to all . The good we are very blessed to have this property for wife to branch out drag with her gardening . And haveing me draging hoses around.All the other neighbors are great folks
