My gun went out last week and they just got to writing it all up yesterday.Said it will take about another 3 weeks to get back home.In regards to the trigger pull from the Double Action pull initially they said it will be shorter, smoother, and way more consistent. When I get the full write up including total costs I will update........God Bless......MIke

For me the conversion just made too much sense to not try.Besides pulling the initial transitional shot in the DA to SA conversion,I had one instance where I holstered my weapon with the hammer in single action mode and safety off. That was enough for me to make my CS9 "Idiot Proof".The DAO is the same as my favorite carry revolver Model 640 in trigger pull, and the magazine safety prevents a "Idiot Discharge" in case of memory lapse of a round in chamber.I may be disappointing many DA/SA people but it is the best choice for me.....Stay tuned and God Bless.....Mike

Hi Just got the itemized bill from Smith and Wesson and with the return shipping the total came to 159 dollars which was inline with the 140 dollar price.BTW the S+W tech asked me if I wanted him to take off Big Dog's Delrin Grips to put the Hogue grips on.Gee maybe they wanted to keep them as a model to sell with the CS9??Stay tuned......Mike

Interesting, cause I was wondering what I would do if I sent back my Chief, what to do about the grips. Put the Hogues back on and risk having them replace the shoe, I could grind it back down to fit I guess. I have been meaning to do some more work on my delrins while I was off on family leave with the new arrival. I have some mighty putty, and I was thinking of cleaning up the outside by doing a stippling job.
