On April 17 I had surgery on my right eye for cataracs, it never went to good as on May 8 he had to go back in to remove a piece of cortex. I thought it would come around like every one else's does but it got a little clear and in late August I went back after it started to regress backwards and he has referred me to a Dr Tauber in Springfield Mo. I will see him on the 23rd of this month. From what he has sent me it looks like I'm going to have a Cornea transplant. Do any of you folks know of or have had a cornea transplant? I would like a heads up on what to expect. Thanks guys! Jeff

From Texas, Bless ya Heart. Will send up some words for your health. Good luck, Sir.

Sending prayers for a fast and complete recovery for whatever type of surgery you end up getting.

Don't know about the Cornea transplant but my mother had cataract surgery and it worked out good for her as she didn't need glasses anymore. I guess your problem is more sever then her eyes were.

If you are interested here is a article about it but if your a little upset about it you might want to wait till you see the doctor so he can explain it better to you and answer your questions.

Good Luck Jrm53

I have had cataract surgery in both eyes with in two weeks of the other. Prior to surgery, I thought I was going blind as I was losing vision perceptibly by the week. I also had SEVERE astigmatism. After surgery and my new lens implants I see better than I ever have in my entire life (I'm 64). I'm grateful and I'm blessed. I wish you the same.

One downside, I shoot high and to the right now.

Prayers sent Jeff, sure hope all goes well with the cornea transplant.... No clue here what is involved, but I wish ya luck anyway!
