Stopped by one of my favorite shops today. Wasn't really looking for anything (isn't that always the case? LOL). Spotted a Wilson Combat magazine, 10rd 9mm full size-can't find them anywhere-and got it. Had to check out the consignment case (what this shop is known for). Spotted an incredibly clean looking Shield Plus. Asked to see it, uh oh, liked the way the slightly thicker grip fit better than the standard Shield I had and sold.

Made an offer and now it's mine for just under $400. No box but everything else. 10 & 13rd mags, manual. I don't think it's ever been shot, never seen the mag followers as clean as these without being new. No marks on the breech face or barrel hood. I'll be shooting it tomorrow, if it works it'll be my warm weather carry piece. Wish me luck! I've been hearing of issues from a couple of the local pds that they've had issues with 147gr ammo. I only have/use 115 or 124 so that's what I'll test with.

Look at these!

Wow good score. Nice

The Shield Plus is probably going to be my next handgun purchase. Unless something else pops up which usually happens.

I have handled several and like the slightly thicker grip although ever so slightly! The trigger is much better as well. Might spring for one sometime down the road but I have a 1.0 with night sights, Apex duty carry kit, flat faced trigger and Talon Grip so if I was just to put Magguts in my 8 Rd mags it would be about as good.

Nice price! Glad you grabbed it before anyone else found it.

I wonder what the backstory is? In the Klipsch speakers world we live in perpetual fear of the dreaded WAF - Wife Approval Factor.

I have two Shield 9s, I'm pretty sure that 8 or 13 round mags will be an improvement.

Competing with the P365 will be a tough climb. But, I will not buy one until there is a scope model, and sufficient magazines.

Got to the range today and the S&W rep was there as well showing off a bunch of new models so I scored some swag lol. I always shoot a new to me handgun at 10 yards and then go from there. I used a combo of both 115gr (Aquila) and 124gr (Fed Am Eagle) and them a few mags of 124+P Fed HST. 100% reliable, no issues, fun to shoot and accurate. Glad I bought it, definitely a great warm weather carry piece-picked up an LAG iwb holster on sale while I was there too.

The rep was pretty confident mags will hit the supply chain in the next couple of weeks or so.

First 28 rounds at 10 yards

The swag :D

Good morning S&W Fan ... don't be so sure about what The Rep said re: additional mags hitting the supply chain soon. Various others on this forum, myself included, have asked Smith & Wesson about more mags. They all say the same thing ... "in a few weeks". Smith has been spouting this line of propaganda for MONTHS. I hope I'm wrong.

Range time

Thank for the Update with Range Review, and taking the time
to post pictures.

I too like practicing Range Testing at 10 yards and beyond.

The best to you and your endeavors.

You sure it's not you pulling the gun as you pull the trigger?

My normal Shield is like that unless I use a finger to push the frame a little on the left side as I shoot.
