Update with my M&P 40

Ive shot 1500 rounds through my pistol now.

Tests are at 7 yards
FMJ rounds Ive shot are
Blazer 165grain Had trouble keeping the grouping together maybe ammo Im not sure. 3-4" grouping
American Eagle 165grain 2" grouping
Winchester White Box 180grain 2" grouping
PMC 165grain 2-3" grouping

JHP and Bonded
Winchester White Box 180grain 2-3" grouping
Winchester PDX1 165 and 180 2" grouping

So far with these brands of ammo have had only one failure with Winchester White Box which was a load failure.

Just recently purchased Winchester Ranger JHP 155gr not the Ranger T. Was going to use this ammo as my defensive carry. How does everyone feel about the Basic Ranger JHP ammo?

Other defensive/Home defense ammo that is easily had in my area for cheap is the Hornady LE CQ Tap 155 grain while the PDX1, Gold Dot, and others are not so cheap.

Anyone use Hornady LE CQ Tap 155grain as a carry round?

Just recently purchased a G19 4th Gen for $508. Been looking at testing it out as well.

Cheap ammo for self defense? IMO cost should not be a determining factor in the ammo you choose to possibly save your life. Choose a quality ammo that meets your expectations for accuracy, function in your pistol and effect on target. Then choose a similar load (weight and muzzle velocity) for less expensive practice rounds.
