So I made the jump to Apex FSS Kit... 2 weeks after I bought my gun... Yeah, the difference is huge... The super long pre-travel is gone, short crisp break...
New trigger also feels more beefy and comfort to grip than the factory trigger.
Only bad part is I found out my Late 2012 made M&P 9L have the 1/16" sear spring and sear plunger... huge bummer... Kinda stuck with old 1/16" housing. S&W told me the sear housing is restricted parts, and all online retailers seems to never have those in stock... Apex told me I should have read the disclosure which I did and assumed that I had the 1/8" sear spring & plunger...
I understand using the Apex sear with old 1/16" spring & plunger may lead to sear flutter/dead trigger... So can I just keep using the original factory sear, but do keep Apex trigger/Striker block and spring intact so I can at least take advantage of everything else, except the sear?
[Update... Just tested with factory sear, Apex trigger won't fire at all...]
And below is pic after new trigger job, and a few close up shots I've took of my beautiful baby
