I will buy a Ruger .45 Colt Single Action soon. I do have a .45 Colt sizer die but I don't have the .45 Colt seat/roll crimp die.

I DO have a .45 AR Roll Crimp die. Can I use this die to roll crimp the .45 Colt loads too?

Absolutely! Just don't forget to unlock the locking ring and back it off, before you do any seating. You will have to adjust it for the new rounds just like you would the first time you used it. Unless that is, it works out perfectly the way it is. I have had that happen before.

If the 45 AR roll-crimp die is built to do only a roll crimp, then go ahead.

Some 45 ACP/AR taper crimp dies will roll-crimp a case if you crank them down far enough. The problem is that you get a really strong taper crimp before you get to the roll crimp, so essentially you get both types on one cartridge. As a test, I had a buddy cut off the bottom a half-inch or so from an old 45 Colt roll crimp die so I could use it with 45 AR cases. After extensive testing, I've documented that that ammo loaded using this die is more accurate than ammo loaded using the taper/roll combination.

Your results may vary.
