Some may have seen this already but its new to me so i thought id share

I wanted a .22 conversion bolt for my AR15 pistol that i just built. well i found that Redi-mag makes something called a Better-mag. Its an adapter that slides up into your AR15s magwell and locks in place. allows you to use M&P 15-22 .22 mags with most conversion bolts. it has a part that rides on the standard AR bolt release making your bolt lock back on the last round as well. i bought a CMMG stainless bolt and the Better-Mag and it runs like a top. bolt holds open on last round even with a BAD lever on it. i was doing 25 round mags dumps one after another with no issues. i have a dozen mags for my 15-22 so now i dont need a bunch of conversion mags too.

Thanks for posting this. Does it work with the Blackdog drum magazine made for the 15-22?

Anyone else have any experience with the Better-Mag?

Yes it will work with the 15-22 BDM drum. I have a conversion kit (CMMG) that I turned into a dedicated .22 upper. Suprisingly enough I like the steel lip BDM 26 rd mags better than the S&W ones as long as I do tactical reloads. The S&W mags have it all over the BDMs when it comes to dry reloads.
