Found a trade in at a LGS. Price was $500 with one mag.

Looked brand new, innards were clean, action felt smooth.

Good price? I have no idea what used M&P 9's are going for.

Similar experience here. Got a new one w/ 2mags for $499 at a show 2 weeks ago. Dropped by another show here this weekend and while I didn't see any regular 9FS, I did see a couple 9 Pro Series for $600.

Anything more than $500 is a lot even these days.

New M&P 9s are still under $500 in the LGS. I think it's a little overpriced, but the market in your area may be different than where I live.

I couldn't see myself paying more than $400 used. I paid $480 for my M&P .40 Range and Carry (3 mags, Bladetech holster and mag pouch) back in December.

Add in the price of extra mags to that . 50 bucks a pop here. There's definitely better deals out there

I paid $ 540 at my LGS for a 9 FS LE with three mags and night sights just last week . I would not do it .
