How do you use part of the quote feature? In other words, take one sentence and isolate it?Everytime i do it,it takes my quote, but doesn't put it in blue.I have to add "quote" before and after.Thanks.

Hit the quote button,
Highlite and delete what you don't want.
Be SURE you leave the quote blocks-

Do you mean like this? You select the quote box, then remove everything within the quote and un-quote (/quote) blocks that you don't want to repeat, but leave the blocks there.

OOPS, there's a monkey in the middle.

It says my message is too short[i put in a lot more than 10 words].

I forgot to put my message in!!!!!!!What was i thinking![probably wasn't][rolleyes]

Just as an aside

I put the word "SNIP" where I have edited out text to show thats what I did

that way someone is less likely to say
I left out part of their quoted words without telling anyone

Examples

Original Quote

You have to take the cursor outside of the quote to write your message or it says that. I think that's what's wrong, but handejector would know for sure.

Wrong way to edit

I think that's wrong, handejector

Better Way?

SNIP I think that's SNIP wrong,SNIP handejector SNIP

So now you have me snipping the owner of the Forum? Won't there be repercussions?

No you only provided the original text

I did the (mis)quoting

if there are repercussions I will be the one to suffer

I will remove the examples if you want

I've got it!!!You've gotta' leave the number in too. Thanks to all!!!
Not really. If you take out the equal sign, name and numbers you end up with the above. Same quote but no name.
