USPS Defying ALL Reason & Logic

When I was working I used to see all kinds of packages arrive by express delivery that we hadn't requested. At the same time, I once attended a vendor conference where the customer went to great lengths complaining about his costs for express shipping (he was paying over $100,000 each month) and was querying us for suggestions. Nothing this customer made was related to the medical field and in my opinion could not possibly be considered emergency/life saving material. Naturally, the customer was heavily "invested" in the JIT concept. :D Hmmm… I wonder if there is some sort of connection there? :o

It is great that express shipping is available WHEN NEEDED, and I suppose in some cases customer tracking serves some sort of useful purpose… I suppose. JMHO.

I just got a package that USPS took 5 days to move 190 miles across Arizona. Wells Fargo could have done better in 1880...

We also recently got two returned Christmas cards marked "address doesn't exist"... both were correct, and the same address they've been going to for over a decade.

I know the junk mail pays the bills, but it seems that's the only thing USPS can reliably deliver these days.

If they are really so bad, why aren't we still getting the "Vote For Me" political junk?

I was at my FFL shipper's house the other day doing paperwork. He showed me a handgun that just arrived for another individual that took over two weeks to get to his place. The major problem he and others I know including myself is poorly labeled packaging. One of the many reasons people should use a labeling program to make sure USPS, and the rest can at least read, and I mean easily read the address. If its scribbled in something approaching Cantonese you can't blame the USPS or other delivery system. I know that I had a bullet mold shipped from Australia and the answer why I used Australia is because they had the best mold for my purpose. It arrived in the US at Longbeach CA, went to S.F. for Duty import, the address could not be read for delivery to me so back to Longbeach and back to Australia. The tracking was driving me crazy, it wasn't that I needed it, I just wanted to get it in my hand and when I see where its back in Australia on its way to Dumbass Junction I kind of lost it and called them up. They were not going to pay the $50 to ship it again and when I told them that as the customer I have already paid and it is now their responsibility to get it to me...they did reship and I got the mold eventually but it was on them to make sure it got to me.

Mailed Christmas cards to two neighbors. One lives 7 houses down on my side of the street and the other spitting distance across the street. Mailed on the 18th of December. Neighbor 7 houses down got hers on the 24th. Neighbor across the street got theirs 7th January. Seems like some of these Government agencies are just trying to get shut down.
