Beware of USPS package delivery and tracking number scam text and emails . Fake web site looks to be legit but non of the links work . Notice is for undeliverable mail asking to confirm contact info and payment , none of the links work . Fake tracking number starts with US , legit 22 digit number starts with 9. Report them to Federal Trade commission

Hover your cursor over the name of the sender's name and you'll see the sender's address. For these types of scam-spam, the address is never legitimate. If there is no sender address, then just delete it unopened.

I'm aware of the hover on the name, but this particular spoofing/phishing campaign is pretty sophisticated. There have been others with the same lack of sender addresses - banks, charges at stores I don't shop at, one even saying it was the IRS. I use Chrome with Outlook online, and even Microsoft can't find it to blacklist it when I report it, unopened, as phishing. Been dealing with computers for decades now, and used to even consult on security and junk mail blocking at work. Never seen anything like this. A scam like this is quite interesting. Not even a short url redirect. It just says ("no sender address").

Just got one.
When I checked the sender if was an obvious fake.
Since I’m not expecting a package, incorrect address a no go.
Plus the USPS has a problem with my address, but they know my email?
Really?

I get 50 spam emails daily. I have “won” everything you can imagine, the last warning before my account is revoked and all my packages are undeliverable. I’m getting to the “select all/delete” stage and go back through in case there is something important. Most originate in UK (.gb) or Germany (.de). Joe

I get the USPS scams texted to me pretty regularly, but today I got something different…a scam text about a part time job. Same basic format as the USPS scams. Possibly same group in Nigeria?

Yup. I've seen them from "USPS," "UPS." and "fedEx." Delete immediately. Don't forget about the IRS, the Social Security Admin, and the ones that claim to have naked pictures of you from your webcam. I got that one several times, and I don't even have a webcam.
