I'm new to USPSA, and shooting a revolver in competition. Is a fiber-optic front sight legal?

Thanks

Absolutely! FO front and a large, flat rear target blade are the hot set-up. Rear would be something like a Bowen Rough Country (preferred) or an LPA. Front would be a Dawson Precision or HiViz. The Dawson you can get in a narrower blade width (.100") for more light on either side of the blade and quicker acquisition. You can also easily change the Dawson lite-pipe. The HiViz only comes in the standard .125" width - not interchangeable , but is protected by a clear sleeve over the FO element.

I have some combination of the above sights on all my competition revolvers. I'm mediocre at best, but I can't blame my sights.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
