retired this week . worked the first 6 months this year PLUS have been drawing my soc. security & what small amount of retirement my ex-wife didnt take when i got divorced 7 years ago . ( just a personal note .;.she got most of the ret. funds , i got the house )
tried to get on va. insurance 2 years ago , but i made too much $ . at that time , i mentioned that in 2 years i would be retiring & the rep said to try to get on it then ... now .... since i would be making a lot less income .
i figured that my best bet was to wait till next july , 2015 , since i had been making a double income the first 6 months of this year . do you think this assumption is correct ? !
someone mentioned that the va had lifted either part or all of the income requirements . i am not sure this is correct , and havent done my research on it yet .
any body know about this ? would i have a chance to get on the va insurance quicker ?
your feedback welcome .
