I've heard Nissan makes the best Stainless Steel model. Looking for a size of about 20 ounces. Can someone provide a model number and some sources? tks..............:)

I have had 3 Nissan "vacume" bottles. They seem to be a little smaller that 20 oz.I just checked and mine has no number embossed on it any paper labels were gone a decade or more ago. The pour through lid has been the weak spot on all of them. They would be better off with the hollow funnel that Stanley uses. All of mine were bought at Coffee shops or places like Service Merchandise. Good luck in your quest. Ivan

I have a several I've used for years. My observation has been that the manufacturers offer different products at different price points, with the lower end "promo" products not offering the same levels of performance as the higher end.

Best vacuum bottle I've ever had is a "no name" product received from the Marlboro Miles promotion about 20 years ago. I can fill it with hot coffee at 5:00AM and have a good hot cup of coffee at supper time. Outperforms both of my Stanley bottles every time. Go figure.

Best I ever owned is a jumbo Thermos brand that held a pot of coffee and stayed hot all day in the duck blinds. It's old and has cork top. I found it in an antique shop in box with papers and never fired (used).
Don't know about them today but you might try second hand shops for a good old one.

If you search eBay for the terms "Thermos Nissan" you will see quite a selection. I'm not necessarily suggesting that you buy there. But, it is an easy way to see what is readily available.

For example, the Nissan Model - FBB750 pictured above is a 750 cc bottle. 750cc equates to 25.3 ounces.

Just a suggestion because it is so easy to do. ;)

There's nothing magic about 20 oz. I have a 1 qt Stanley and am satisfied with it..............just looking for something a bit smaller............thanks for the replies so far. :)

The best I've had is Nissin. They'll keep my coffee hot all day in teen degree weather......I've never had any other brand keep it hot as long as these Nissin's do......

Check out Hydro flask....(18oz coffee and tea).....This is the cats meow for hot or cold drinks......many configurations also........If you get another brand than this you, will have second best at best!!!

I've used the small (picture above) Nissan thermos for years. Fill it in the morning, slip it in my briefcase or hunting coat, and have good hot coffee all day.

I think Thermos is a registered brand name. Others just have to be called vacuum bottles.

Like with Kleenex and other facial tissue paper.

We have a Nissan that I'd say is about 20 oz. We use it for hot chocolate, etc. on day hikes and at sporting events. Works great and has proven to be very durable. Everything we've put in it remains piping hot when we get home.

I believe we got it at L.L. Bean in Freeport, ME some 25 years ago or so.

I've had a bunch of them.

I am not gentle with them, many are dented & never had one fail. I now use strictly stainless & generally use a wide mouth version as it's easier to add ice or hot food. Some hot ramen noodles in a cold treestand is a treat, with a second small thermos for coffee, or ice water. To keep stuff hot longer pre-heat as mentioned with boiling water & use a thick wool sock as a cozy (preferably a clean one).

I have a thirty year old Stanley and I can say for certain that the new Stanleys are only vague shadows of their former selves. Thin and cheesy. Sadly, the son took my old one on a camping trip and left creamed coffee in it in his truck for a week or more.
Hey son where's my thermos?
Uhhh, I think it's in the back of the landcruiser...
When did you use it?
Uhhh, when I went camping I think
That was two weeks ago, did you clean it?
Uhh...I don't remember....

For the life of me I cannot get the musty odor out of it. Bleach, orange oil, nothing works.

For cleaning the built up crud out of my stainless vacume bottles I use 1 3/4 ounce of steel #2 from a waterfowl load and vinegar and shake like crazy. Pour through a strainer to catch the shot, rinse with water and repeat until clean. A bottle brush won't reach the top or bottom curve. If you do the soda and vinegar every week you might keep up with it. I have a Stanley from Christmas 1974 and still doing well. The small Nissan bottles fit a brief case well. I have the Stanley lunchbox that holds their vac bottle, but I wanted one that held two for the long days I worked! Ivan
