Have a chance to pick up a 629 Classic NRA engraved 8" in excellent condition. 1XX of 650. I don't think being an NRA Edition will add any extra value. NO lock. Owner wants me to make a reasonable offer. I am not familiar with S&W/s. Thanks

The NRA engraving ads very little to its overall value
Is it a 629-4 or -5 ? You would need all the box and all the paperwork that would have came along with it to add much value. from the NRA stamp depending on condition around $1200 to $1500

Are you sure it's an 8" gun? I thought all of those were 6". One of the few models that left the factory bright stainless. $1200-$1500 is about right all accessories.

Looked at the 629. It is _4. 6.5" barrel. Someone got a bit aggressive cleaning it and it has scratches in Nickel finish on frame none on barrel. . They may be able to be polished out. He wants 925.00 for it with 2 boxes of Factory ammo and incorrect blue S&W plastic case alont with a Galco holster made for a 4" barrel 629 . I am not interested in it. It may be a decent price for a shooter.

It doesn't have a nickel finish on the barrel, it's polished stainless, which can easily be made to look factory, unless they've scrubbed the laser etching off the sides of the barrel.

Etching is still on both sides of barrel. One side has 629 NRA Classic 103 of 650 Other side Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum. In your earlier post you said it was one of the few models that left the factory Bright Stainless as this one is.
