I need help determining the value of a LNIB Model 681-5.

This is a Performance Center gun produced for Camfour in 2001. It's a 3" barrel, 7-shot with fluted cylinder and chamfered charge holes. It is Quadported on either side of the drift adjustable dovetail black ramp front sight and has fixed rear sights. It has both sets of grips (wood and rubber) that shipped with it and is in the Performance Center locking aluminum case.

Is there a value difference between the 3" and 4" barrel versions?

This gun is listed in the SCSW (page 362) with a photo and in the Blue Book, but no values are given.

What might this gun sell for today in the secondary market?

Thanks, in advance, for your assistance.

Hi Catman253!

I was looking at a couple of those earlier this year. The 3" were priced $850 to $950, with box and docs. The $850 was lightly used, and the $950 alleged to be NIB.

I have not come across a 4" in some time, but if experience is any indicator, the 4" will bring a bit less. Hope this helps!

Oh, would you kindly PM me the directions to your shop, as I'd like to come up there and see some nice revolvers! Regards 18DAI.

Any other pricing info from other parts of the country?

I have the opportunity to trade for one of these and am completely in the dark. My usual info sources are sorely lacking and I want to be fair to both parties involved...myself being one!

I appreciate 18DAI's input. Has anyone else come across one of these lately in the secondary market? I'd like to get some more info as to what these are going for in various venues. Maybe I can see a trend.

Thanks again for any info on how to value this gun.
