Laid hands on a Smith 22/32 Target 6" with the early adjustable sights like the Beakert's. The grips were checkered, diamond in the middle, no medallion, Pat date on bottom, single mounting screw RB/SB conversion grips, serial number penciled on the RH panel. Gun is in 92-95% condition with mint mechanics. gun is an I frame serial number 3606XX made early 1920's?? Value?

Thanks!

Yes, probably 1921. Those stocks are actually Regulation Police stocks and for a while in the late 'teens/early 20s were standard on that model rather than the larger two screw extension stocks. When invoiced, these were often called small square butt stocks. The extension stocks were called the large square butt stocks.

I haven't seen photos and don't really feel comfortable trying to pick a specific price here, but I'll observe that the top condition .22/32 Heavy Frame Targets can sell for a thousand or even a little more. Run of the mill guns up to better quality were being offered at $800-1000 a few months ago, but I am not sure how many were actually selling at those prices. I would bet you could sell yours quickly at $500 but maybe have to wait to close a deal at $750. You should check recent sales on Gunbroker. Usually a few HFTs go through there in the course of a month.

I paid $750 for one in similar condition with the other stocks about a month ago.
