Obviously condition plays a huge part in value, but i'm wondering how much? For example, in the photo there is a pair that have no cracks or chips but the checkering is worn from handling. Still desireable? Thanks

I may have seen this set online somewhere ;).

There are significant chunks of missing wood in addition to the checkering and finish wear. This would entail a major restoration to make them look right.

I agree with Peak53. I have refinished my own grips and it is a time consuming affair. I could not imagine paying some one to do it at any where near what is affordable to a new set.

These grips look like they were altered to fit a different shaped grip than the one originally made for.

Considering the wear and altering I'd say they have no value and not desireable. They are no longer cokes.

For collecting purposes the value would likely be nil.

HOWEVER, for shooting, they would be great. Their hand-filling palm-swell and the great feel should still be unchanged. The less aggressive texture of the worn checkering should make them even slightly more comfortable for shooting - less abrasive to our palm.

Bottom line, to me they would be worth no more or less than any other worn target grips. Definitely not worth anywhere near what Cokes normally bring.

They look altered to fit a I frame Colt.
Just the way the top is rolled over. If there is a second hole on the bottom on the back towards the front of grip that would confirm.

You could have them recheckered in you are keeping them.

Yeah, if they don't cost much, you could buy them and try them. If you like the fit and feel, they could be "cokes" at a "tap water" price.

But don't pay much. Even if you got them for free, I doubt they could be restored without costing more than a better set of (unmodified) Cokes. And then, what would you have?

As everybody else has noted. . .pretty much ruined. They would go in box of junk grips.
