I have a friend who is contemplating selling his "commemorative 629-3 Carpenter Technology". Apparently a run of 2,000 or so of these were made for the 100th anniversary of the firm that supplies the specialty steels to S&W, back in 1989. He knows little about firearms, and has never fired this piece since he bought it from the initial offering. As I said, he's looking to sell it, and I more or less assured him that he could easily net $1K, or possibly a little more. It resides in its' original wooden factory presentation box. Did I steer him wrong ? Did I grossly undervalue it ? Any and all opinions are humbly welcomed.
