I'll admit to a penchant for his music. I'll also have to admit that once in a while I sing Karoke. My fav is "Brown Eyed Girl" though I am in a key or two lower.
I'm a baritone, usta be able to sing in three octaves.
I can still manage two.

I always ham-string the DJ when I ask for Tom Waits.....:D

I like the way he sings "Somewhere"
I think Tom Waits and Leo Redbone would make a great duet.;)

I love music and am always enamored by covers and collaborations. I'm a big "Van fan" (although his live lyrics sometimes sound like he has a mouthful of marbles). I can't think of many performers who have played with more great artists than Morrison. So his live stuff is right up my alley.

BTW...Everyone should own VM's "A night in San Francisco". A 2 disc masterpiece.

Here with tenor sax great (and very attractive) Candy Dulfer and although I can't seem to verify, what looks (and sounds) to be a young John Mayer on guitar???

Much like the book "7 degrees of Kevin Bacon" I've thought about the same book for Van the Man. I think you can connect darn-near every artist to Morrison through 7 or less performers.

Here are a couple of classics with Van and "friends"...

Sorry second video didn't load!!!!
