Vanessa Mae - Wow

I was a Vanessa Mae fan, but her recent foray into whatever this fusion stuff is doesn't work for me, so no more. It seems she has picked up another fan base though. Tough making a go of it in classical. I'll stick with Lara St. John and Hillary Hahn. I saw Lara St. John at Wolftrap a couple of weeks ago. Still amazing.

Just change the 'Mae' to a 'Kay' and do a google image search -- or even better a YouTube search. You'll find someone much hotter. Right, babyboo?

That young lady could give Charlie Daniels a run for his money - and a heart attack along the way.

I saw a Guadinini violin like hers ( the non-electric one) recently. The going price is about $1,000,000! I did not try it, but I did try out a 1671 Nicolo Amati - a steal at $675,000! It did play quite well though. I had just bought a new violin bow from the shop so they were pretty nice to me. It was kind of cool to play a fiddle that was a hundred years old before the USA was even a country. Amati was Stradivari's teacher BTW (as far as we know) There is no written evidence to back it up.

Incredibly cute for sure. When I think of asain women virtuoso, Sarah Chang comes to mind. I seen a program where she played violin solo of Carmen Fantasy (Sarasate) at age 10 and she was amazing.
