I have a fiberglass deck lid on my Chevy Colorado. I recently traded for a newer model so the color does not currently match. my new to me truck is blue and I have been thinking of an American Flag wrap. I have no experience with wraps other than watching it done on the Motor Trend channel. anyone ever had this done? thanks in advance. lee

You're talking about a wrap for the deck lid, right?

It's your truck, but if it were me, I wouldn't wrap it. I'd think seriously about having the lid painted to match the truck.

But if you do the wrap, get it professionally done, and specify you want the premium vinyl used, not what's known as calendared. Premium is sometimes known as cast vinyl. Don't ask me why.

Your wrap should last/look decent for 3-5 years, but the time will really depend on its exposure to the elements, especially the sun. If you have a garage or carport, so much the better. But once a wrap starts to look bad, it really looks bad.

The flag wrap would undoubtedly look good, but you know, some people look a bit askance at the flag being used as a decorative item or a custom accessory. Personally, I'm not one for caring much what other people think, but the way things are these days, you never know what might "offend" someone.

Again, it's your truck. If you want some flag decor, you might consider doing it on the cab's rear window. I've seen that done quite a bit. Just a suggestion.

Whatever you do, we'll need photos!
