Saturday at the gun show, plenty of primers and a fair amount of powder at good prices for reloading. There was a good supply of ammo, but it was somewhat high. The crowd was fairly large.

Last January I picked up a couple of 3913 pistols, a 1992 and a 1996 with night sights. A couple of months ago, I obtained a 3913TSW pre-rail. So, I figured I was pretty much done with 3913s but I really do like them, especially at good prices.

Well, earlier today at the gun show, one of the guys with a table had a lovely 1992 3913 with two magazines in 99% condition (no box). I asked how much he wanted. I figured he was going to want around $500 and I would just keep walking. But, he says $400. I got very interested, field stripped it, closely inspected it and took it.

It's just so hard to pass up a lovely 3913 at a great price, especially an early pre-MIM baby. Ah, another great day at the gun show!

Any S&W auto for $400 in California is a good deal. Especially a 3913. I paid $325 for a 639 in 1984. You did great. Bruce

That must have been THE ONE deal at the gunshow today.
The guy who had the pistol deals mostly in S&W revolvers and 1911s. It looked like he just bought it or took it in on trade. It didn't seem that he really knew what he had. In fact, he was quite interested in how I disassembled it, he had never field stripped a S&W 3rd generation. He was just "flipping" it, luck me.
