All routers are pretty much bullet proof. We used our own for awhile and it worked fine. If you use theirs they are going to want to come in and set it up, $50 fee for that so I learned after they told me there was no fee. They also had to change the jack out to install their high speed router which was not necessary, it just wasn't set up to use my older jacks. If you use your own by a good one (about $75) and make sure it's compatible with your jacks. Once installed just call them up and tell them you have a router on line and they will be able to communicate with it and get it set up without a service call. That's how most people do it. Their routers are not the best quality I found out and they recycle them when people return them. I had two fail and purchased my own.
