9 days? I waited 3 weeks for some parts I ordered from another well known company. I wasn't upset. I ordered coverals from another company. Took 6 days to get here. Wrong ones 2nd time, first time wasn't their fault, they were tagged wrong. Took 3 weeks to get the right ones. They made it right though.

Everything will be just fine.

Yea I'm not trying to make a big deal. I've just heard such great things about the company and now I'm a little disappointed. I am a patient person. Waited ten weeks for an alien gear holster. Just wish they would make it right.

Not sure...I'm not trying to run their name through the mud. They do provide a great product. It's just an envelope so I don't know how it takes nine days for delivery unless they are backed up at the shop.

They are making it right, they could say tough luck, or ship that back on your own dollar and then we'll ship out a new one. It does cost money to ship things, more than one thinks and discounts aren't great unless you do a TON of volume. My nearly billion dollar employer doesn't even get great deals and we ship a fair amount so when you see low shipping prices they are eating some of it. We are even a shipping a company!

Aliengear needs to get their poop in a group. They are slow and for some awful reason make everything to order. They should be able to project sales by now, they've been in business long enough. I just dealt with them on a warranty issue. Get this my dog chewed up my holster over a year ago. I was already talking to Alien because the leather on my holster was fairly thin and not as nice as some friends that purchased at the same time and the kydex was very loose, I had to do some liberal work with a heat gun to secure my SR9c. Anyway after he chewed it up I gave up on the warranty and just lived with it for a long time, then saw on an email they sent me that they have an "anything" warranty and called them. Sure enough they would warranty the holster even dog chewed. It took 4 weeks but I got my new holster and it's WAY better than the old one. Thick leather and tight fit. There is NOTHING special about these holsters that should take even the 4 weeks to get here. They should have the leather backers made up by the thousands and even if they had to mold just the kydex a slow human could get a fair amount out the door. To be backed up 10 weeks is completely unacceptable. That's A LOT of volume.

So now I got an email from talon stating that they sent it out tonight priority mail! Thank you talon. I wish I could change the title of the thread to happy with talon costumer service. I don't know why they didn't just tell me that in the first place I would have never complained :/.

I just got mine the other day. It took longer than normal so I called to inquire. They did call me back (after I already got them) stating that with SHOT show they got behind. They were very nice and apologetic. I can live with that. If it was something that left my sidearm inoperable part wise I probably would have been more irritated.

I have noticed Talon grips becoming quite expensive since I got my first set for my Shie;d a bit over 2 years ago. They are up to $17.99 now. The ones I got 2 years ago were $11.99. The last couple sets of grips I ordered were from Traction Grips and they hold up just as well and appear to be made from the same material. The ones I got for my SR9c were $6.99 2 years ago. They have also increased their price but still only want $8.79 a set. Traction grips have great service, free shipping and I have always got mine within 3 days of ordering. Considering you can get 2 sets from them for the price of 1 at Talon, I think they are worth considering

Reading this and other Forums, it seems that Talon ships an awful lot of wrong items to their customers. Probably one of the reasons their cost to the end user keeps going up. It seems like one or two threads a week pop up on the forums I follow that state wrong one shipped. Main reason I haven't ordered a set is I don't want something that abrasive next to my leather IWB holster.

Get the rubberized set. Only reason I went with granulate is I don't shoot more than 100 rounds when I do go shoot so I'm not worried about it chewing up my hands too much. I don't carry much either other than when I bowhunt or when I'm in the woods.

I received the wrong ones the first time also. I kinda put it on myself though, because I ordered the granulate, but emailed the next day to change to rubber. I did get a confirmation on the change, but it didn't happen. When I emailed them back, they put a rubber set in the mail, with a self addressed stamped envelope to send the wrong ones back. I have to say I'm happy with their product and their service.

If you go back to your first post(has to be from the original post), click the "edit" button, you can change the title to anything you'd like. (At least it always works for me)

you can request a moderator change the title.

I never realized how much smaller the grip is on a 9 and 40 compact compared to the 45c.

You are running their name through the mud.

First world problems :/

The entire gun industry was at SHOT show for at least a week including travel time. Corporate functions even at the big companies like S&W, Colt, Etc, etc, essentially shut down or run at a skeleton crew the entire week. This isn't just a big exhibition. This is where multi-million dollar deals are made with regularity. It's not that they ignore " the little guys", but rather that all business efforts need to be focused on exhibiting to the commercial end of the industry and collecting business intelligence. This is a core function of any competitive business in this industry, and if we want talon to remain competitive, relivent, and able to stay in business (let alone grow), they need to be focused on the SHOT market that week. And this applies to all exhibitors.

9 days man. They are a small operation, and made it right regardless.

The Internet makes it wayyyyyy too easy to complain.

Talon keep doing what you do! I'll keep using your grips. 9 days, 10 days. I don't care. I love your products. I can shoot better, faster, and in any condition. They keep my glocks literally GLUED to my hand in the worst conditions. Nothing on the market can compete, even high end stippling jobs.
