Anyone use this self adhering gauze on their grips? I put a tyler and a set of magnas on a 638 and try as I might the tyler was just a tiny bit loose-just didn't fit well. Wrapped the grip and tyler with some vet tape to snug up the fit and WOW talk about feeling great in the hand!!! The vet tape gives just the right amount of sticky and makes a world of difference in controlability of the gun. Thinking of putting this on all my revolvers now.

That's goin' old school, right there. Didn't people once use friction tape? I think Gizamo has it on the old Fitz 45 he has.

I've used vet wrap on...dogs. Great stuff. I think your use would be fine and practical, although it wouldn't take long for it to get kinda yucky. Easily replaced though.

Pics?

Vet tape is very much like racquetball grip wrap. They may be the same product, labeled differently. Nice tacky grip for sweaty hands, easy to change out when it gets threadbare, available in lots of easter-egg colors.

That's funny (to me).

I just had surgery on two fingers yesterday (thumb & trigger finger) to remove a few cysts near my nails and they used this exact stuff to bandage up my fingers. I was so impressed with it, the nurse threw what was left on the roll in my bag for me to take home. I have not tried it yet, but I'll bet it will work great - although I won't be shooting for a few weeks :(

Up until yesterday I never heard of this stuff.

I keep a roll of self bonding Rubber Splicing Tape in my racquetball bag to repair racquet grips. I have never thought about using it on a gun.

Works great when hunting too. Applied to the bottom of one's trousers as gaiters. Keeps the snow out. At least that was my last confirmed usage of the stuff.

have used it on trail horses and shovel handles. also an axe or two.
used it once to wrap a hippies head so he would quit spending so much time flipping his hair back... he was not amused

gary, does it come in LSU colors? lee

Lee actually the color is bright purple :D

Joe I have some of that rubber tape too and it is good stuff for a lot of things-it would probably work well on gun grips as well.

I didn't like that stuff on raquetball rackets or tennis rackets.
If it's called raquetball, why don't you use a raquet instead of a racket?
Anyways, glad that icky stuff is working for ya.

Let me guess....you thought this up during a trial due to boredome? :)

Probably more thinking how he wished his client's fingerprints weren't on the gun... :D

We've been using the felty feel raquet wrap on fishing rods, usually jig sticks where you're casting more than fighting. The medical flex wrap (a bit tougher) we wrap the thumb on the left hand when fishing Spectra braid. That stuff will cut ya up.

I only use the tape if the grip breaks. It will do until I get a new grip. I know some that use it to make the grip bigger.

It is spelled racquetball and you use a racquet to play the game. See Racquetball Warehouse

Tennis can spell it racquet also see Tennis

From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racquet "Racket is the standard spelling of the word. Racquet is an alternative spelling used in certain contexts, such as in reference to squash, racquetball, and badminton. Racket is the preferred spelling in tennis."

I have been using gauze tape on putter grips for a long time.
Where is my mind--what mind ?, the Hen replies! I have never thought about this application before.
Thanks.
Blessings
