There are no choices in the 'like' selections to convey my thoughts. Lost mine three months short of 53 years to cancer but like you, I was there at the end. Peace and prayers.
Is the Medical Lake cemetery relatively new? I was stationed at Fairchild twice and left in '93 after I retired. I don't recall a Veterans cemetery being there at the time. I used to fish in the lake directly across from it. I might put it on my list of "final destinations."

The Washington State Veterans Cemetery was dedicated on Memorial Day, 2010 and the first interments began on 7 June 2010.
