Veterans Program

I purchased my Shield in October and my FS in December of 2013
I was not informed that Smith & Wesson had a sales program for Veterans. Since I am a Veteran, I was wondering if I can still qualify for the program. Anyone out there who might be able advise ?

The program is for active duty and retired military personnel with an ID card.

They say that it will return in 2014 and to "stay tuned for program details". I don't think it's retroactive, but maybe!

In the past it was for active-duty, retired, and disabled veterans, and it amounted to a $100 rebate for SOME M&P 15 rifles, M&P pistols, and a couple of revolvers.

It's called "Nation's Finest" & I took advantage of a $50 rebate on an M&P40C. As it's already been posted the program is for Active Duty & retired Military. It also includes active Guard & Reserve. Proof has to be mailed in along with the application. If you buy at a police supply store like Streicher's you can also get a discount on S&W guns if you're LEO/Military/Security & first responders in general. With Nation's Finest & my discount my M&P40C cost me $348 +tax & background check. It came with 3 mags. I think they knew me from my security days because they never asked for my Military retired ID card or security license & private detective license even though I offered to show them.

According to the rebate form, you can still get a $50 rebate on the M&P FS. It's for purchases between July 1 and Dec 31 of 2013 and must be postmarked by Dec 15, 2014. The shield is excluded, but you can still get it for the FS.

That reminds me of a quote from a 40 year old recently (okay, maybe two years ago) on a TV news story. He was a new recruit in the Army. He said he was able to keep up with the younger guys - but it took him way longer to recover!!!!

Insofar as the S&W Veterans Program is concerned, they change it from year to year. In 2009 they outdid themselves and sold any one gun to any military person* at manufacturers' cost. They have never repeated that outstanding deal - I bought a Model 27 Classic (MSRP $900+ or maybe $1000 at the time) for less than $650 +/- a few bucks, I can't recall now. Previously, if they were doing it previously, and certainly subsequently, it's been 100 or 50 dollar rebates or some percentage discount but I have never seen a "cost" deal again.

*It's always active duty, reserve, veterans, and retirees - I have never seen them do it for one group and not all but I don't focus on it every year.

I could see us going through basic now At the end of the obstacle course they have ben gay and a wheel chair. And the 20 mile hikes is with electric wheel chairs and a cart attached to carry the gear. Naps every couple hours only thing we would be good at would be the rifle range.
