i just picked up this victory, ser. 273xxx. i think from 1943 ?? is there any chance these grips could be original ?? no ser. # inside them. thanks in advance. i carried one just like this in the nam,1964 also i think my birth year ?? 1943. i still do not see how you add picures,just beyond my comprehension,sorry. they are diamond magna grips.

Yes, V 273xxx would definitely be 1943 manufacture. Diamond magnas would defintely not be correct, the originals were smooth walnut.

I believe 194 3 but someone that tracks these will come along and give you real accurate data. The grips are not correct. Plain Round Top uncheckered wooden grips were standard for victories. BTW , the serial starts with a V. To post pictures scroll down below the text box and click on go advanced. Many were used by USAF in the Viet era. I was told we got them from the Navy. Not enough Combat Masterpieces available.

That number is from a gun with a different letter prefix, which was left off the grip panel, most likely a C from the 1950s.
