victory for sale.

stopped at a yard sale guy had misc. gun supplies nothing really to speak of told him i was in to s&w,s he brought out a victory did not really check out serial number but has 5 in. barrell smooth walnut grips blued but worn on end of barrell and on cylinder some said i could have it for 235.00,what do you think worth another look?thanks for any advice

Its probably a .38 S&W rather than a .38 Special if it has a five inch barrel. If that doesn't bother you, $235 is a pretty fair price. I'd take another look, and maybe try to knock him down a bit.

You also should make sure it hasn't been rechambered to .38 Special. That was a common "improvement" back in the day.
 
thanks for comment,i am goig back tomarrow i did notice it did not say 38 special on barrell and no lanyard ring was plugged it does have blue finish not parked.
 
I'm sure it's in .38 S&W and not .38 Special.

If you reload it's an easy round to load (and I have some dies for sale, hint hint). If you don't then the caliber sucks as ammo is pricey and hard to find.

These will bring $350+ in really nice condition.
