Victory Grips, Expert Opinion Needed

I acquired these recently as they were advertised as government surplus originals. They are new and were never installed until I fit them on one of my Victory revolvers. That is why one of the grip pin holes is elongated just a bit. Do these appear to be original? They didn't have a screw with them. Are these still common as surplus or has the supply dwindled? The screw escutcheon seems to be correct and the wood looks old. Could have been a fitter didn't like the way they fit and tossed them to the side. Just an opinion.

Thanks for the reply DW, I know you've seen more than a few Victory grips!

I checked with the gentleman who I got these from today...he said he had a boxful at one time, alas no more...
Any clue as to what they're worth like this? I will probably sell them as I have the originals on my Lend/Lease Victory.

Not worth very much, ten to twenty five dollars at the most.

As DW says, these arethe real thing, just missing the screw. They are spare grips, from the parts sets made up for the military, as there is not serial number stamped on them that I can see. They used to be quite common at gun shows but the supply has definately dried up. A minty pair can bring $50, sometimes more on eBay.
