Came across a Victory model today, serial number is V3919XX, gun is in VG condition, has a little light rust under the trigger guard and minus original grips. Could anyone give me a ballpark DOB and value.

Thanks

Rusty ,, need to know if it's 38 S&W or 38 special, as that will make a difference.

V391xxx is probably 1944, someone else will have better info.

You need to give a more accurate description for a no visual appraisal.
Barrel length, whether it's original parkerized finish, etc...
Victorys' go these days for between $200 and $500 depending on authenticity and provenance.

Give details and you will get more feedback

It is the original parkerized finish with a 4' barrel, I'd say finish is 90-93%, its a s&w special.

Your Victory Model was made in early Jan. 1943. Value is probably around $400, give or take $50. maybe a little more if marked with a military unit ( USN, USMC, etc, that is original to the gun )and assuming all numbers match, including the grips amd all parts are original, including the lanyard swivel. All Victory models should be lettered to see the destination of the gun, as some were sent to very unique users, such as the OSS etc.

what is the value engraved .38cal victory model 10 s# v670xxx p ?

duff,

Welcome to the forum. The experts here (I don't claim to be one of them) will be glad to give you some replies to your question, but you need to give a little more detail. What is the condition of the gun? Are there any distinctive markings? Do the grips have the same serial number as the other serial numbers on the gun (at the end of the grip frame, under the barrel, on the face of the cylinder). What length is the barrel? Can you describe the engraving? Etc.

Again, welcome. -Donald
