I recently stumbled into a storage unit cleanout and came away with lots of rusty parts and the better part of a Victory model. The revolver was missing a side plate, hammer and rebound slide as well as a hammer spring and screws. I did find a couple of hammers in the rusty parts pile and while they appear to have the correct outside dimension for the Victory model the hole for the hammer pivot is to small. Did Victory models have a different size than other revolvers? I have lots more parts I can try but there are at another location. Thanks for any comments!

Victory models were standard M&P series revolvers and the only change I am aware of was when they went to the improved drop safety. Postwar the short action came into production but as far as I am aware the hammer stud was still the same size. I wonder if the hammers you found were actually from a S&W copy such as the Spanish made ones?

They may be Spanish copy hammers since there was all kinds of parts. I haven't made it to the other location where I have a good assortment of S&W parts to see if any of those will work.

Sideplates were hand fitted. Finding one that drops in is almost impossible. That said, I've replaced a few. Took some peening, and fine fitting.
I probably have any part you need for a Victory. Go to Numrich and look at the schematic. Figure out exactly what you are missing.
