Victory Model...

I snagged a Victory Model today. It has the lanyard ring..V 175048 preceeded by ordnance bomb stamped on grip frame. No other stampings, no US PROPERTY or P proof.. Very nice S&W logo and the serial number is on all the right places. Roll mark on barrel is 38 S&W SPECIAL CTG. I paid $250 for it and was wondering if anyone might chime in as to date of manufacture. Thanks ahead of time.

This sounds like a good week for Victory models. Post some pics of yours when you get a chance.

By the way, what length barrel does it have?

Your Victory Model was shipped in the December, 1942 time frame.

Charlie, Thank you for the information. The stocks are the originals..right one stamped to match.
