More BSR’s. I have the numbers somewhere, but very roughly it is about 60% to 40% or so. It’s difficult since BSR’s started before the V prefix and there is no hard cut-off from when to count “war production”.

Yes, starting around mid-1940, most of S&Ws revolver production was being sold to the British Commonwealth, and those were technically not "Victories" as the V SN prefix did not begin until around mid-1942, and are usually referred to as "pre-Victory" revolvers. During that period alone there could have been easily 200,000 BSRs made. After the Lend-Lease Act took effect in late 1941, there were many more BSRs given to the British, in addition to those S&W revolvers supplied to the U. S. Navy, the Defense Supplies Corporation, and the U. S. Maritime Commission. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to tell how many of them were BSRs as serial numbers were intermixed, but certainly the majority of (the more-or-less one million) pre-Victory and Victory revolvers made were shipped to the British from mid-1940 through the end of 1944.
