Victory wood grips available from Altamont

They both look good indeed. I like the price better on the lower ones of course being the cheapskate that i am. I have the rosewood target grips on my M46 already which I also like but found them to be a little bit thicker thru the hand part for me then the standard Walnut ones.

The Volquartsen are just a little costly for my budget and I never took to the colored laminated look. The Altamonts look great and even the cheapest plain ones look great. I see a set in the near future.

I'll make do with the current setup (large Handall over stock grips) until the Volthane target grips come out.

My Volquartsen target grips for my Victory will be here Friday. I am like a kid waiting for Santa.

I think they warm this gun up nicely.

Are Almont S&W22 grips any thinner?

The Almont's warm, wood grips dress up the Victory nicely.
My hands are on the smaller side and the original Victory grips are chunky to me. The Almont wood grips look sleeker.

Any actual owner feedback available yet?

It's been so freaking hot here (for MI anyway) that I haven't even gotten out to shoot it yet (with the wood grips).

I had been waiting for a reply to this post also, but not getting any feedback I broke down and called Altamont technical this morning. Doug said that the Victory grip panels were about the same size as the stock polymers if not a little thicker. There is quite a nice selection in the rosewood, dark walnut and silver black, but they apparently will not decrease the overall grip width if that is your intention. I'd still like to see some actual user feedback from some Victory owners after shooting with the Altamont grip panels.

Put a few hundred rounds thru it - like the grips a lot. I like larger grips and since I shoot bench rest with the gun mostly - I don't want/need checkered grips. PLUS, I like the feel of waxed wood in my hands ...... what can can I say?
