A friend of mine was doing research on the Klondike gold rush of 1898 and found a wonderful old ad. That spurred me to search Google Images and found a couple more. I'll bet there are more. Do any of you have any in your collection?

See attached photos.

Find some old National Geographic magazines and you should find some. Plus ads for "other"brands. Old ads are pretty interesting to look through.

I have also found ads by filtering the web search for just images. You can save those off and print them for your viewing pleasure.

Man, those truly were simpler, better times.
Do you imagine the outrage that something like that would cause today?

A great resource of vintage S&W ads is the book "Images of America: The History of Smith and Wesson", by Mr. Roy Jinks.

I was thinking similar. That's the first version of a 32HE, isn't it?

"Large" revolver? "Heavy" caliber?

Wow! That one appeared in the Literary Digest?
Not much chance of a similar publication carrying a similar ad these days!
