My home state has a bill in the House they are trying to pass (and mostly likely will). It has just cleared the subcommittee and is moving to the floor :

“Prevent any agency, political subdivision, or employee of Virginia from assisting the Federal government of the United States in any investigation, prosecution, detention, arrest, search, or seizure, under the authority of any federal statute enacted, or Executive Order or regulation issued, after December 31, 2012, infringing the individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms by imposing new restrictions on private ownership or private transfer of firearms, firearm magazines, ammunition, or components thereof,”

Very cool.....

Thanks Fishing Pilot, another Virginian here! We've been making some huge legislative gains in the last few years, all positive. Got some good heads in Richmond!

There used to be a great gunshop in downtown Alexandria, it was on the 2nd floor of another shop on the main drag. You guys probably know the name. I used to visit it quite often in the early 80's when visiting my brother who was stationed at Fort Belvoir, and lived on Robert E Lee highway in Fairfax. :D:cool:

Yeah....I like it here, even if you can't buy a decent pizza, get a real deli sandwich, or buy a dirty water Sabrett hotdog on the street. I have somehow come to love certain foods I didn't eat before, like pulled pork, fried catfish, hush puppies, crab cakes, etc.

Virginia Baby!!!!!

Legislation like this is gotta drive liberals like Coumo Kah-Ray-Zeee. :D:D:D

I love VA!

A lot of the purposed legislations were shot down, including doing away with the "gun show loophole" and the high capacity mag ban. So far we are doing pretty well. Let's just hope we can keep it up.

This is good. More and more states will discover that more than half of the people in this country love the constitution. And they will vote with their feet. CA and NY are going to see their law-abiding taxpaying residents relocate to states where they are appreciated. The most lib states will go broke under the weight of entitlements and unsustainable pension obligations. You can't give away what you don't have (unless you're the feds).

As for Kalifornia, we here in AZ have seen not only a lot of citizens relocate, but more importantly, businesses.

Just wondering, then why was VP Joe B in Virginia, somewhere, drumming up support...had a big meeting with a large group of anti-gun enthusiasts... The VP and the meeting was all over my local news out of Toledo.????

I would've hoped you had run them outta town on the rails...as we used to say.!!!!
