Just an observation... While I really like WH they aren't on par with morning chow at military mess halls. I know I am going quite a ways back in memory land but during my hitch I never had a less than satisfying breakfast.

As you were, carry on, smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

..I was stationed at a Naval base and USMC bases..the Navy chow was much better than USMC

Nothing topped midnight chow at Chanute AFB (1971). My only experience with Navy chow was in Diego Garcia, 1981. Good, but not Chanute level. How that place could crank out food for hundreds of students on a short schedule amazes me to this day. God blessed that place with top-notch cooks.

I went to Tech School at Chanute in the summer of '71. You are dead on about the mess hall.
