Stopped for a few simple items and found all of them. Had to ask the pharmacist where an item was. She escorted me directly to it and pointed out the best buy. Grrrrr!
I found two pairs of off brand jeans for $14.00 each.
Then I found a DVD I'd been looking for, they had the gall to price it at $4.00.
Checkout was quick and smooth and the greeter refused to search my bags when I left. Things had turned pretty ugly. To top it all off, when I got home I tried on the jeans.....and they fit!!! It'll be a cold day in hell....................

that is why one day walmart will own the world
they got what you want(except ammo), and cheap.
I always try not to go there, but always end up there

I never buy any clothing at WM except for underware and socks, but saw that they had Wrangler's camo, painters and carpenter jeans for $15 each in varying colors.

Too good to pass up since my Christmas fat has made my Levis shrink. Not gonna pay over $30 for bigger Levis that I will wear for two months.

did they have any AMMO?

Yep, I always stop at sporting goods. They had .22, .357, 45 ACP and 9mm and .223, along with a decent selection of long guns. Didn't check the other calibers.
Didn't buy any, I'm pretty well stocked.

I stopped by a couple days ago...Winchester S&W 40cal 165GR FMJ 100 round value pack for $30.97! I was happy enough not to care how much my wife spent on her stuff.

Outrageous!
(that's funny, Ron. I like it)

I know what you mean Ron. Just the other day I'm in the local Wal Mart and find Remington 40 S&W HPs in the 100 round box priced the same as two years ago! The clerk who was right there had the nerve to quickly serve me and rub it in by asking how many boxes I wanted!!

How do these guys stay in business?

Out West

I had a similar experience yesterday, just awful!!! They even had the nerve to invite me back!

Only pistol ammo was .45 Colt Cowboy loads, .357Mag FMJ, and .357Sig FMJ btw.

My sister had the exact opposite experience in WW a couple of weeks ago in the electronics Dept. She wanted a wireless mouse for her comp. there were not one or two but five associates standing at the register in that department idly chatting (this is normal for this dept) I have noticed it several times.. To get a question answered I flagged down a lady that happened to be passing by from the photo dept. She decided to get the mouse but was also going to buy a new ell phone or a battery for her old one so when she began to explain her problem to the associate (by this time an associated from that dept) had arrived, as she was explaining her problem the associate began to snigger and laugh at what she was saying. To say the least she was royaly irked off. She turned around and we took the mouse to the front register to check out . I checked it out while she lodged a complaint at C/S and the rep. told her this was not the first complaint they had had like this about that dept. I hope someone lost their job because of this.

I generally don't have a problem in WalMart (I shop very early in the a.m. when I have to go), but I was upset with the manager at the one over here when one of my tenants, who is blind and needs shopping assistance, was told very rudely by the manager that she was "just going to have to sit and wait" until someone could help her. Not kind to her at all. She could've said it nicer; it wouldn't have cost her anything to be nice and saved some resentful feelings when it's already tough enough to be blind.

...and bananas 49 cents a pound...

All of the Bananas for the eastern part of the country are unloaded twice a week at Gulfport Mississippi harbor. Six miles up the road at Walmart the price is the same, 49 cents a pound. I would think that they would be a little cheaper but maybe they truck them to Arkansas and then back.

Coiuple months back the price was $33 cents a pound.

Wal-mart is the only game in town, here in our little mountain village of about 15,000 pop., so that makes it a good and bad thing. Although they quit selling guns a few years ago, they still have ammo, though, rarely any that we want. Hubby cracks me up because he can't resist a bargain and has to have whatever clothes are on sale.

I am appreciative of walmarts pioneering the $10/90 day prescription deal as it makes the meds somewhat affordable. I notice a number of stores around here now offer the same deal. I just signed up for walmarts $10/90 day with free home delivery. Just a few clicks on the internet and the meds show up at my door in a couple of weeks (at most).

Remember that time a few years back when they lost the refrigeration on all those chickens at the harbor??????? MAN DID THAT RAISE A STINK ;)
