There's plenty of awesomeness out there. I like buildings the most, especially in black and white. Followed by weapons. Landscapes are okay, but not really our favorite. But since a couple of years I have fallen in love with cubism (can't afford it though :o). We hesitate with buying since we still have to move quite a bit. And we got lots of broken glass

Good wall art is expensive, so we mostly create our own. With my wife being the artist I'm always in the shadow. So today I was working on a piece and I have to say, I'm satisfied.

This image was James Bond inspired. Since days I have the theme song "a view to a kill" in my head...

What kind of wall art do you like?

Among other things, I like to collect paintings of the Old West and California. A.D.M. Cooper, Benjamin Raborg, and John Englehart are the artists I like.

Mostly wildlife and game fish art by artists like Wm. Zimmerman and Joseph R. Tomelleri. My fanciest is a really nice framed print of a rising pheasant by Zimmerman. I bought it in the early 1970's and retained it after my divorce.

I have drinking glasses decorated by Richard Bishop and Ned Smith.

Have a wastebasket with a salmon fly painted by Zimmerman.

If I had the money, I'd buy prints of African game, too. But I'm about out of wall space.

Tough to get good shots in the house at night, thinking of replacing my 15 watt bulbs:eek: with 40 watt bulbs.:)

These are a few hanging on walls around here.

This lithograph I purchased many moons ago in a Art Gallery in Rockport. MA in the month of February, when there are no tourist around. I wish I could have taken a better picture.

And this one just makes me smile for some reason when I look at it.

Heck, I can do that....

I always thought about taking up painting so when we moved into our house and were thinking about what to put on the walls I thought, "Why don't I try it. So I painted a few dozen paintings and I deemed about 7-8 of them fit to frame and hang. My subjects? A boat sailing into a red sunset (I actually saw this and it knocked my socks off), Japanese Cranes, Boats at a dock on the waterway at sunset. A scene along a mountain road at dusk with a car approaching with its headlights on, Still life, a dike-type waterfall, Birds on a branch. I think that's all I have actually hanging. A couple I have sitting around as conversation pieces.

I have a small house, can't have all the art I'd like.
This is a Chinese hand painted oil copy of a work by John Singer Sargent I've liked for years, but couldn't have until I became one - The Hermit:

For the dining area, I have these aluminum blocks:

For my bedroom, I like this Andrew Wyeth print called Master Bedroom (sorry for the link, I don't have a picture of mine):

at home we have a fair amount of. contemporary art on the walls. My home office gets the framed Super Bowl tickets, 6 of them. In my office at work are two prints I really love but that got evicted from
the house when we went more contemporary.
