Was reading a Washington Post article this morning about how Biden's group might solicit Walmart to help end the "gun-show loophole" (which, of course, has nothing to do with gun shows.)
According to a source "close to the administration", Walmart and other retailers would have an incentive to participate because reducing private transfers would drive more people to them to buy guns.

That's stupid enough to have Biden written all over it.

I don't know what Walmart or any other retailer can do to eliminate private transfers. Even if they supported it, they may need to reminded of what happened to S&W when they caved to Clinton.

I also noticed AG Eric Holder was in a 12/20 gun control summit. If Feds were serious about reducing gun crime, they should lock up Holder and anyone else involved in "Fast and Furious". They're responsible for more gun murders than legal owners.

FFL's are totally in favor of eliminating private sales. It's another revenue stream for them. I have heard FFL's publicly speak out against private sales

The above point about what happened to S&W when they fell in with Klinton is a good reminder of what we have the power to do - if we stay together and ACT!! We do have substantial purchase power as a group of over 4 million people and if we use it collectivly we can have an impact. WalMart and Dick's Sporting are two to note. Both of these businesses pulled the ARs and ammo from their shelfs right after the tragedy in CT.
"I" will personally not shop at either ever again.. I stayed away from WalMart for the most part prior to this but this was the last straw. Dick's was just flat disappointing..

Walmart!!!!! My local Walmart doesn't even carry guns, and darned little ammo. What ammo they do carry is kept out of sight. You have to go through 20 questions to find out if on any particular day they even have any ammo, what caliber, what brand etc. etc. I have noticed that there are quite a few Walmarts in So. Texas that refuse to carry firearms

I don't think Walmart pulled anything from store shelves... they just sold them. The only thing Walmart did was remove the Bushmaster Ad from it's website. At least until this past week. My Walmart still had DMPS and SIG 556 rifles in stock. This week the handgun, 223, and 308 are all wiped out.
