In this forum, Firearms & Knives - Other Brands, there is a discussion dedicated to the beauty of walnut and blued steel Did I ever mention I have a thing about Blued Steel and Walnut. I'd like to start a similar discussion, but focused on woods OTHER than walnut. Here is my contribution: 1) Makassar Ebony; 2) Ziricote; 3) Cocobolo; 4) more Makassar Ebony; 5) more Cocobolo.

IMHO, WALNUT IS THE MOST COMMONLY USED WOOD FOR STOCKING FIREARMS---ESP RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS......

WHEN IT COMES TO S&W REVOLVERS, I HAVE REPLACED ALL OF THOSE FINGER GROOVED GOODYEARS WITH AHRENDS, SMOOTH TACTICAL CONVERSION GRIPS.......

MY WOOD OF CHOICE IS TUNG OIL FINISHED MORADILLO......
