Walther PPK 32 acp, 2024 model.

I'm leaning towards a used Manurhin .32 PP for about $600. From what I've read, quality is exceptional and that Walther actually sold them under their own banner after WWII.

I’ve wanted a PPK in 32acp for some time now and was about to pull the trigger on a newly minted version when I found a used S&W version in excellent condition for $575 otd. Luck day for me ;)

hey guys,

I read the books in the 7th and 8th grades after Dr. No came out...and I'm pretty certain I recall the armourer said the Smith and Wesson .38 revolver hit like a brick thru a window.

he said the skeleton-grip small caliber Baretta was fit 'for a lady's handbag.'

I don't remember when Bond got the PPK.

by the way, in Jamaica I found 'Golden Eye', Fleming's home in Orcabessa where he wrote the novels, on a deathtrap rented motorcycle. cleaning lady let me in. 1991. wow. wow.

Glad someone else mentioned Makarovs. The only Walthers I could afford were used ones of the type known to have issues. I've forgiven myself for having chosen a career with a pitiful pension.
I was lucky to discover Makarovs, back when they were still cheap. I own 2 Russians, 9x18 +.380, Both are fitted with ISRAELI FAB DEFENSE GRIPS with built in beaver tail + cleaver grip device moving mag release from heel to button on left grip. Both feed everything including HP. They have been totally reliable over the years.
A few years back I bought a POLISH P-64 (9x18) with shoulder holster.
It has turned out to be a great "hot weather" carrier. It,& I benefited from a softer hammer spring, & stronger recoil spring - to cure trigger & recoil complaints. I have really enjoy all three, & no longer suffer from Walther Envy

I have that and a Dozor grip for my East German… Dozor is similar but more traditional grip and the release is closer to the US placement. Definitely recommend it over the FAB.

I love .32s. I have a Manurhin PP that I need to refinish (police surplus, got off my C&R), but also a Beretta 81 with threaded barrel. .32 is awesome to suppress. I considered getting a new PPK/S with the threaded barrel just so I can run the same magazines and do it quiet.

.

Hi I looked up the DOZOR grips - they appear to be Russian, I did not see a price. But must say the DOZER ambidextrous mag release levers would be in MY way.
I much prefer the sliding thumb button on the FAB GRIPS, & have no complaints of FAB ergonomics. But whichever one would chosen - is certainly a needed upgrade to the original Heel Mag Releases. I also replaced the bulky target sights My Russians had - with sleeker aluminum combat sights. These improvements make them compare very favorably with
recent compact market offerings - IMO. Nothing I'd rather have.
