... of this Model 36. Want a good cry..... look at what he did to it. Seems that he is actually proud of the butcher job on a gun he described as 99% before "refinishing".

It was posted for sale on another forum for $500. Says pictures before refinish are available. Wow! Leaves me speechless.

X2. If the condition of the grips is an indicator, then this Chiefs was in fair shape at best.

you guys did not know that was a custom S&W model 36 issued to the USAF and parkarized so it would not reflect light...WHERE HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN?????

it is a good excuse anyway,....I MEAN EXPLINATION!!!!

Don't let anybody fool you. He used that radar resistant paint they use on those stealth planes.

That gun is invisible!!

I would give $100 for it just to use as a truck gun. $500 for that? No way.

It's the new stealth Smith! Everytime I see this sort of thing, I have to remind myself, it's thier gun!

Dunno. I've got a really trashed (pre?)36 flat latch that lived under an old-timer's front seat for years. Coke, coffee and who knows what else was spilled on it. Ate the finish right off. Had to take a rawhide mallet to eject the rounds from the cylinder.

Have alternately thought about sending it back to Smith, or having a local guy bead blast and Duracoat. So far, it has been on the back burner.
